The cutest Landon.......

So, we had some awesome visitors last week! My Mom, Dad, Mandy, Landon and Nathan. What a blast, nothing else could describe these visitors. And, oh my gosh and I am in love with Landon.....he is so adorable!!
My Dad with Landon with the magical walk that puts Landon to sleep every time. My Dad is the best. This picture is classic Dad, crooked glasses or sticking his hair up (when he had some) he is lovable:) Nothing is BETTER than a hug from my Dad!!

I love coming from such a big family. So many awesome siblings, so much fun and never a dull moment. I was so happy to see Mandy and Nate (of course they rock!).
What can I say about one of my favorite people----Mother, you are awesome, my dear friend, an awesome example and so much fun:)
Since Michael was born he has been attached to Nate the Great (my bro)......Michael adores him and Nate is always ready to play with the kids or get a good game going. Really, Nate is my baby, I was 14 when he was born. I don't know how much actual help I was but I LOVED that baby
The fourth of July was HOT! (106) but we had a great time at the parade in Pasco. The kids loved getting candy. Really, truthfully, this year, I discovered the parade is all about the candy! I enjoy the reason for the 4th of July and the friendliness that seems to be in the air at a parade! After sitting at the parade for 1 and 1/2 hours we retreated inside to the a/c and later on went bowling and went to watch the fireworks.

Waylon and I being silly (no, that never happens!). The sunset was beautiful so while the kids played at the park, we took some self-portraits. The first one Waylon is making a silly kissing face and I was laughing, then he got made at me for not being serious, so we took the above picture and look who is not being serious now. We didn't get the sunset very well, but it was BEAUTIFUL! The kids played with their flashlights in the dark while we waited and we chose a park where we could see all of the fireworks in the Tri-Cities without the loud noise (Olivia and Isaac can't handle it) and the crazy traffic. We were home in less than five minutes....awesome!
Olivia watching the fireworks! What a busy month it has been so far, but a fun one!!!

The Big Birthday

Yes, Isaac and I have the same birthday!! The whole time I was pregnant with him I said ANY DAY but MY Birthday. Then He came and it has been great. I love sharing my birthday with him. Yes, I know I will be eating Spiderman cake on my Birthday for many years! It's okay as long as it is chocolate:)
Silly boys enjoying their cake. Isaac poses this way whenever we take his picture....Waylon and I jokingly call it his gang sign. It just defines him and NEVER changes.

Now you have to understand at the Duncan's -when it is your birthday you get as much cake as you want. It is great! Well, Isaac had eaten two pieces and we cut him off-he was not happy! So, Isaac (with the help of his older siblings telling him all week) decided he wanted to go to chuck e cheese for his birthday and go to the build a bear workshop. So, off to chuck e cheese we went and we had so much fun.

Waylon playing skee ball. Now you have to understand Waylon hearts skee ball......seriously, he loves to play it and win the big jackpot and get a lot of tickets for the kids. Well, he won the jackpot (look below) and was very excited!!!

It turns out that the build a bear workshop closed in the mall (okay, now you can tell how often we go there)....so, we were forced to skip that. So, for my part of the day, I decided I wanted to go out to dinner (anything to get out of cooking!). I decided on Olive Garden. It was so good and the company was great!!

Our self portrait waiting to be seated. Overall, it was a great birthday.
Waylon made me breakfast (french toast-my favorite!) and even did the dishes. So, that was HUGE! If you don't know, Waylon just does not do dishes, he will do many other things around the house, but bottom line, he really really really dislikes the dishes. I guess that just makes it really special when he does (Many, Many, Many times when I was pregnant and when I had surgery).
Although I am still adjusting to being 29 (30 has never looked so close!!!!), it was a great day and I can't believe Isaac is three. Waylon and I were talking about how we would never again have a two year old. Weird!

Finishing up JUNE;)

There is just no one like Aunt Amy!!! The kids are always attached at the hip when she visits. Amy and David visited us a little over a week ago. What can we say-we heart the Milnes! We always have the best time:) So, soccer started last week. Michael and Olivia are on the same team. They are loving it of course!! Isaac keeps busy while they are playing-he loves to explore and REALLY wants to play. I told him he could play next year when he is 4.....He kept telling me I'm four, I'm four. He would really have a blast.
So, among the the sticks he found, the ice cream truck that drove by and kicking his soccer ball on the field, he picked this flower. He came over to me and said this is your flower. How sweet!! I said do you love me? He usually says, "no!!" But what a glorious day, He said, "I lub you mom." Of course, my heart melted. So, I made him take a picture with the flower and he had to make a gomer face.
Olivia is very fiesty playing soccer (who knows where she gets that from!). She gets tired quite easy having asthma, we just never talk about it, and it seems to not be a big deal, Thank goodness!
Michael has informed me that he is the best player on his team, so, we are working on just trying our best and not making other people feel bad. He loves to run!
We had a great time yesterday playing cars with the sidewalk chalk. The kids love to create highways and houses and get real nice and dirty. Good times!Olivia just got reading glasses! She is so excited!!! She wore them all day yesterday because she was so happy to be validated by wearing glasses (Michael got reading glasses before Christmas and she has been feeling quite bad she didn't have any-she was happy when the Dr. said she needed some)

The boys having fun with 3-D Color Explosion. They were entertained far a long time! Olivia did Tinker Bell painting!

Michael and Olivia dressing up! Olivia snuck her glasses on-they are still novel. They have had a lot of fun (also a lot of fighting) with so much free time.
So, yesterday I took the kids bowling and I could tell Isaac was a little tired by the huge tantrum that took place at the bowling alley (love those tantrums!). When we got home Waylon had returned from Basketball Camp (yea!) and so Waylon and I were sitting in the Living Room catching up and Isaac came and lay by me in the crack of the coach and ottoman and within a minute he was asleep. He slept like this for over an hour. It was so funny!
Isaac when he woke up from his impromptu nap. He had lines all over his face from sleeping in a crack! But he was happy!
Well, Michael had a friend over Monday and I had signed in to work on my blog, when his friend's Mom came to pick him up and I started talking to her. Within a minute Isaac had come over and touched my computer. What he did I do not know, but, know every word when I sign into my blog is a square. I have tried the help section, but, you have to be able to figure out which thing says settings ( I can't because they all look the same-those stinking squares).......Hopefully I'll figure out what he did soon.
Last week was a LONG miserable week. I had caught a bug and it made me feel so awful (it has been years since I was that sick). So, I am feeling better, but still have a cold and start the uncontrollable cough every once in a while. Waylon and Michael have it now, but much less severe than it hit me (Thank Goodness).
I am really excited that I have the opportunity to go to Girls Camp today. I just got a new calling as the Young Women's President. It is overwhelming and exciting. The sisters I will be serving with are amazing and I know they are who Heavenly Father wants to serve. What an an awesome, spiritual experience it has been! I have always known this and had a strong testimony that my Heavenly Father answers my prayers, but this experience strengthened that testimony even more. I feel so blessed to have the Gospel in my life and love relying on my Heavenly Father in my personal and family life and decisions. I truly feel happy following my Savior and Heavenly Father. What a blessing I feel truly grateful for daily. How grateful I am for parents who taught me the Gospel, and henceforth, how to be truly happy. I am also so grateful for my dear husband (who I adore) who supports me, loves and adores me.....Life is truly Good:)

Crazy Friday......

So, crazy Friday it started out to be. Waylon found out Wednesday that he had Yearbook training today...so, it was me and the kids with two doctors appointments before the fun could begin. It is the time of year when we all go to the dentist and eye doctor and today was Isaac's turn to go to the eye doctor. Later, we headed to the chiropractor....Isaac has been there weekly with me and when we pulled in the parking lot, he said "we're gonna fix your back!" sometimes I am amazed at how much he picks up on. So, after the two appointments, I was about ready to pull out my hair!!!

We had planned to get info for several summer programs, 1st stop REI, 2nd stop Kennewick Library where we wanted to play at the sprinkler park after signing up for the summer reading program-
Isaac hates Goggles (Michael and Olivia are constant wearers)...but today he asked to wear his bobbles. Olivia's extra pair was all I had! PINK! LITTLE MERMAID!! He was so cute!

When we went into the Library the were having a summer reading program launch party. My kids had so much fun! It was like a carnival--musical chairs, tattoo's, making musical instruments, flowers, raffle drawings and so many fun things. The kids had so much fun (Isaac had a couple moments!!) It was SO NICE that it was summer and I didn't have to be somewhere or pick someone up.....Yes, I am so looking forward to not having a kindergartner next year and having to drive back and forth and back and forth. But, today, FREEDOM OF TIME was such a great gift!

Silly Michael

The kids also made play dough and played with it. All of my kids were born to play play-dough:)
It was a good day!!

Adventures at the Bento Teriyaki Grill

So, yesterday I had so much fun and totally spent a couple of hours looking for blogs of people I know and I was just enjoying reading everything....before I knew it, it was 7:30 Pm and I hadn't thought of dinner......oops! So, we decided to go to Applebee's (about two minutes from our house).....so we get there and they say it will be 20 minutes (by this time it is almost 8:00)...so we decide to check out this place in the same parking lot--Bento Teriyaki Grill. So, we order some yummy food and we are waiting for the food.....When Olivia sees someone eating with chopsticks and says, "I know how to say hello in Chinese, Hola!" We had some good laughs over that, she also was playing with all of the forks (she has quite the imagination) and then forks came to life.... when Isaac......
started having a hard time sitting still so he licked my face. Then He BUSTS out laughing, I try to discipline and say "no licking" but all I want to do is laugh! So, I turn my head, have a moment and then try to discipline, no luck, he busts out laughing again! This happens again before I could keep a straight face and ask him if he wants me to lick him? He scrunched his face and said NOOOO! Lesson learned (hopefully)!

Anyways, the food was yummy and the company was great! Our kids (who have been known to be picky) ate the food and we had a great time:)

Yestrday we also did our favorite pastime--Bowling--we have this summer bowling pass and we are having a blast! My kids each has a signature move, what they do after they bowl. Michael does a dance.....Olivia Jumps up and throws her hands in the air......Isaac does little impy poses (he freezes them until the ball hits the pins)......It is a blast and Waylon loves practicing his bowling moves!!

Princess Olivia jumping for joy

Isaac being silly......We had a great day yesterday!!

School's out!!

Michael played coach pitch baseball this year.
He loves to play and is already excited for next year!
So, Today was the last day of school for the kids and Waylon (yea!!). Michael got this 2ND place Trophy for AR points. AR is a program my kids school has, it stands for advanced reader. Michael loves to read and was 2ND among the first graders for how many points he accumulated. He is very proud of his award!
Olivia had her last day of school today and they did Move-up day. She was in a fowl mood because she met her new teacher and HE IS A BOY! She can't believe that there are two girl teachers and only one boy teacher and SHE got the boy teacher. I think she forgot that I requested this teacher because I have heard he is amazing and he is teaching a loop which means he will teach 1st grade and keep all of the students for 2ND grade too. Of course, I failed to remind her today when she was pent up of the teacher request. She keeps thinking she can change teachers......Hopefully a few months will help her cool down about the whole boy thing.
Isaac was playing cootie today (a little board game), as he does everyday. You see, it is all about Cootie. So all of the sudden he tells me "ghosts scare me" **pause** "I'm gonna slap them".......I didn't even know that he knew the word slap! And he talks about ghosts all of the time, I am not sure where this comes from, but it is consistently and very random.
Ahhh...Potty training. Isaac is still playing Cootie (of course!) and he farts--he grabbed his bottom and yells, "oopsie" It was hilarious!
He is just on a roll today....we were driving home from picking Olivia up from school and Isaac said, "Mom, can I invite a friend over?" What? I know he hears my older kids say this, but he is two!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Recently we went to do Sealings at the Spokane Temple with my family. It was neat because we did family names! I loved going to the temple with some very neat people!! I am so lucky to related to them. It was great going to the Spokane Temple because that is where Waylon and I got sealed and we haven't been to that particular temple since we live in Pullman over 4 years ago. It was special to do sealings where we were sealed:)During this trip we also visited lots of family. In the picture above Isaac is with his cousin and they are having a blast. They are yelling cheeseburger and being silly
Cousins!!

Today Olivia had kindergarten graduation......She was beautiful and HAPPY and excited. The kids made a picture of what they want to do when they grow up. What was Olivia's chosen profession--An artist. After her cousin Landon was born, she sweetly asked if she could be a Mom and an artist. She loves that cute little boy!

Michael and Isaac at one of Olivia's T-Ball games

T-ball player Olivia. Before the last game, she said, I really wanna play pitch! It was adorable!
But mostly playing T-ball was about the trophy...she carries it everywhere!

Best Friends

Michael at the famous Howard Amon pool. I love this pool it is shallow (translation stresses me out less), very close and my kids LOVE it. My children all inherited my love of water, they have no fear. They also love going to Kia Ora (the name of our gym) during family swim time. We just recently went and it had been a while since we had gone. Olivia has now started making up new moves she does (she is so like me) There is the "hook-up" and the "over-do", among others, she makes me smile and loves to show me her new "Moves." Ask my kids any day what they would most prefer to do and the answer always is- go swimming at Kia Ora.

Memorial Day we had a fun day at Sacajawea State Park. Michael had so much fun with friends and swimming. I told him no further than the rope line--you can see he listened!

Isaac and T-ball= true love

Memorial Day--this is as far as Isaac went into the water!! It was colder and he decided to play T-ball and be silly with the other two year olds instead. Olivia played and played and played. She swam and dug for hours. She had so much fun and was wiped out at the end of the day!

Princess Olivia--This day was part of her Birthday, we let our kids invite over 5-7 kids of their choice for a couple hours to play. We're weird (we know!) we don't do any presents or games just playing. As a family on the actual birthday we eat cake, and do whatever the special birthday person picks all day. It is quite fun and we love the memories!!
Yea! Tomorrow is the last day of school for Waylon and the kids. I am excited to have my family home!! I can't believe Michael will be in second grade and Olivia in first. Time flys by. life is good and we are loving every minute of it!!
