Seattle and National Board Adeventures

Sweethearts!!

Isaac having a blast!

Cuties Olivia and Michael on top of the world at the Space Needle

This past week we spent a few days in Seattle. Waylon needed to take several tests for his national board certification, so we decided to all go and have a fun time. Waylon took tests for several hours Friday while the kids and I went to the Pacific Science Center, then we met up with Waylon at Lunch and spent several more hours at the Science Center, then we went to the Amusement Park next to the space needle. We also has fun riding the monorail (the kids LOVED this).

Saturday was Olivia's Birthday and she really wanted to go up to the top of the Space Needle, so we did. It is so beautiful, it had been several years (pre-Olivia) since I had been up and it is quite cool to be on top of the world.
So, it is strange for Waylon to be done with something that has been a HUGE part of our family this past year. National Boards was something we knew would make for a crazy year (which it has). Waylon continually amazes me with his talents and abilities to provide for our family and his willingness to work HARD! The crazy thing is that he won't find out until November wither or not his portfolio and test and accepted and he passes.
It was a great week and we are glad to be back home in the Tri-Cities. The funny thing is that every time we go somewhere it makes us love the Tri-Cities even more :):) It is nice to know where home is!

This new blogging thing

This is the start of my journey into the world of blogging and technology (scary)....I am excited to make a record of my family and share the funny crazy things that happen every day. A few funny things my kids have said recently.....

Isaac usually gets up when I am reading my scriptures after I exercise, so he comes out to the Living Room and runs over and jumps on my lap. I start kissing him and tickling (he loves this) and this particular day I said, "You're Mama'a boy, You're Mama's boy." He, being a genius, turns this around and says repeatedly--"You're Isaac's boy, You're Isaac's boy!!" He did this all day.

Olivia has just been giggly lately....she is playing T-ball and is quite good (when she is paying attention!) A game she had last week she was in the field about where the pitcher usually stands, she was so excited! She would wave to me and then turn her head (the ball would be headed straight for it), catch it, thrown it to first and then turn and wave repeatedly to me, then yell to me how many times she had caught the ball. This happened seven times. It was quite cute, all of the parents were getting quite a kick out of it.

Michael loves dried mangos and quite frankly, it has always been a struggle with a picky eater so I am happy he likes some sort of fruit willingly. We were at the store and this store did not sell dried mangos. He really wanted to eat some mangos, and was thinking hard on this and after we had checked out he asked if we could go back and buy some wet mangos. It was so funny!!
