Adversity

Body Combat

I am SUPER excited.
Next Month, I am going to training to become a workout instructor!I LOVE the Les Mills workout classes.

They are FUN, the music is awesome, the instructors rock
and the classes are very versatile. I could do the classes modified
after my car accident and they are also challenging
if you are at a higher fitness level.
I am going to training to become a Body Combat Instructor.
This is gonna be awesome!
Body Combat is a great kickboxing type workout.
It is fun and relieves so much stress.

Playtime

A few Saturdays we had nothing that we had to do, so we had some FUN!
{of course} Isaac and I played Zingo, a fun board game over and over. He loved it! Michael and I played pinochle {Waylon helped someone move and had lots of National Boards work he was doing so he didn't get to hang with us until the evening} Olivia REALLY wanted to play store.
She was the store clerk. I was the customer. I mean who wouldn't want
to buy something from her???
Some of the things I bought. We played for a couple of hours using monopoly money.
She was very EXCITED!
The boys got in on the action. At first they were buying things with me but then they decided they were robbers {notice the cape. nice}
They were having loads of fun snatching my stuff and running around.
{Anytime is fun when you get to run around}
We ended the day with Waylon and had a movie night!
A GREAT day with my fam!

Sunset

I love watching the sunset. One day last week, it was b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l

I love nature in all its wonder.

Treasures

The older my kids get the more treasures they seem to make. Above is one of Michael's treasures--he made it for the Blue and Gold Banquet. He also has bags and bags of rocks he collected with a friend. Right now Olivia's treasure is a game she made {and it is a fun game} and her Science Project. I love watching them create, how excited they get about it and how they want to keep it for-ever.
I love the wonder of a child.

Legacy of Love

The other day I was feeling a tad stressed and overwhelmed.....
{not good}
I decided to look back at our blog.
.
.
It made me feel good.
.
.
It helped me remember so many happy days and moments
we have shared as a family
It made me realize that I am leaving a legacy of love as I type this blog and add pictures.
.
.
Nothing is more important than family.
.
I am grateful to be able to create something
that will be treasured in my family for years and years to come.

My Theme Song

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
drifting through the wind
wanting to start again
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
like a house of cards
One blow from caving in
Do you ever feel already buried deep
six feet under scream
no one hears a thing
Do you know there's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you
You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
like the fourth of July
Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh! Oh! Oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
Baby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh! Oh! Oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em falling down-own-own
You don't have to feel like a wasted space
you're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow
Maybe you're the reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open the one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lighting bolt, your heart will blow
And when it's time, you'll know
You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
like the fourth of July
Boom, Boom, Boom
even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you you
And now it's time to let it through, through, through

Surprise....

Waylon got a wonderful surprise this morning.
He was nominated by his fellow teachers for the
NCCE outstanding technology Educator of the year!
This happened a while back as they all wrote
letters of recommendation on behalf of him.
He had no idea.
He didn't win, he found out today
when His co-workers sent him the recommendation letters they'd sent.
He thinks It's all Pretty Cool.
He feels honored that his colleagues thought of him.
Waylon is Amazing!!
{But I've know this for a while...}

I Hear.....

I hear childhood.
I hear giggles.
I hear playtime.
I hear my kids getting ready for school.
I hear imagination.
I hear them eating their breakfast.
I hear toy cars racing, crashing.
These are the sounds of Motherhood.
These are the sounds I love to hear.
Happy Friday:)
