Tractor ride at the pumpkin patch
Olivia LOVES animals! Here she is feeding them @ the pumpkin patch
There were so many fun things to do at the pumpkin patch. This is a hay pyramid (pretty high) all made of hay) and they also had a big maze to run through. Isaac and I went with Olivia and the 1st graders and had a blast!
Isaac and his pumpkin (he only changed his mind about 15 times!) He didn't end up getting this one!
Olivia being an adventurer-hiking out where no kids were to find the perfect pumpkin!
Isaac loved feeding the animals!
The return tractor ride (doesn't Isaac look happy?)
The cutest pumpkin Olivia!
Michael's 1st Cub Scout pack meeting! he is so darn cute (and still doesn't mind if I say that!)
So, we went to the dollar store and I gave each of them $1-let me tell you it was happiness! They had a lot of fun playing!
Too cute!
This is part of what Olivia is wearing for Halloween-cute!
They just love having their pictures taken! Isaac and his ABC's......he just loves anything to do with letters! Pretty much my kids rock!

Women's Retreat

Last week I was able to go with some friends to a women's retreat. It was at camp Zarahemla~It was so beautiful! There is just something about trees! And, yes, I grew up in North Idaho! I have always wanted to take beautiful pictures...here are a few I took....

Carving Pumpkins

I am so BLESSED to have such a great family! Doing something simple like carving pumpkins with those I love makes me happy and is FUN! Da Boys

Joy Boy

That's right, he is our joy boy. I have called him this since he was born! He is always happy and such a joy in our life! He recently had a birthday! Michael is now a cub scout. He LOVES being a cub scout and wants to work on it everyday!
So, us Duncans, we are weird. When it comes to Birthdays we focus on relationships and not presents, so we spend a whole day together and the birthday boy (or girl) gets to choose everything for that day. The kids love making all of the decisions. Waylon and I hope these memories of us together and the relationships we have with eachother will mean more than a new GIJoe!
Michael wanted to go golfing, play tennis, got to Eatza Pizza (like Chuck E Cheese) and swimming. Because of my calling in Young Women and Waylon teaching Yearbook (and it being homecoming the week of Michael's birthday) we spread Michael's festivities over three days!
Oh, I almost forgot! The kids get a bunch of friends over too! I have always limited it to 6, but I let Michael inivite 10 boys (actually 11, one couldn't come) over to play for two hours! I am always so grateful when I have this many boys in my small house that I only do this once a year! (Girls are so much quiter than boys, when Olivia has a lot of friends over they dance, play dress-up and dolls!) By the end, my head hurt and I couldn't think straight! BUT Michael had fun!

Happy Birthday Buddy:)

NINE YEARS!

Last week, Waylon and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary! We are so glad to be married to eachother and it is amazing how we keep growing in love! Just when we think we cannot get closer-we do! I feel very blessed to have Waylon in my life and know that we were meant to be together:) We are truly best friends and we love to laugh and be silly together! Waylon and I were talking about how we have been married for nine years with ninety more to come! Totally silly, but we hope so! Yes, of course we have our ups and downs, but there is no one I would rather walk through this life and eternity with!

The most AWESOME Elder!

Here is my brother Jacob who is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! He is doing well and sharing the good news of the Gospel. He is sitting in a 350 year old tree in Brunswick, Georgia.

What a busy month September was!

Waylon is AMAZING! He has been working hard (when doesn't he?) and I am amazed at his willingness to work hard for our family:) He is also teaching yearbook this year and loving it! Waylon was loading these pictures onto our computer and decided to make a video-it is fun!

Michael is doing great in school. He loves to learn! He is playing football right now and he is really enjoying it! He gets the game and loves to play! He is doing chess at school again this year. He has a chess mind. He gets the game and enjoys playing! I can't believe he will be 8 this month! Getting baptized, starting scouts~wow!

Olivia is doing great! She just finished playing baseball last week. She enjoyed playing lots, and loves her trophy even more! She had to get one of her teeth pulled. Apparently there was an infection that slowly developed from a cavity she got filled a year ago. So, now she has a spacer in her mouth. She was a good sport about all of it, but she was sad when she had to leave school on the day when she was the helper. Olivia has been WAITING to loose a tooth so the tooth fairy could visit her! She was so happy to get her tooth and that she got a dollar under her pillow! She is loving school and becoming a good reader! Olivia has had problems with Asthma and Allergies ever since we moved here. It has been a constant battle and quite a learning experience for me. With no health problems in our family prior to this I was quite ignorant in believing everything Doctor's tell you. It is easy when you have no problems and are just going in for ear aches or well child checkups. Olivia is FINALLY off all medication. She is HAPPY and healthy. I am so glad because for both her and Isaac's health issues have made me worry constantly the last few years. Olivia feels good and she is happy. A lot of kids grow out of Asthma and Allergy issues when they are five (I was told), Olivia was a lot closer to age six. I am just relieved that she is doing good:)

Isaac is quite the sponge. He just learns so much and so quickly! I had been trying to teach him the letter sounds for several months and it just wasn't sticking. But, when the kids started school, we dove in and within a week and 1/2 he had all of the sounds memorized. He is starting to read small words and we are working on counting to 100. This past week Waylon wrote me an email and at the end he said "have fun with our little tornado"! I laughed about this all day and it made my day. Isaac is such a joy, a wonderful little boy, but he is indeed a tornado! We went to watch the Kennewick Lions football game last Friday and Isaac truly demonstrated that he is a tornado. He didn't STOP the whole game. He truly is our GRAND FINALE! His personality is adorable and we are so glad he is part of our family!

I have been TRULY amazed at how blessed my life is lately. I truly see the Lord's hand in everything around me! I know my Heavenly father loves me and am amzed at the blessings that seem to constantly rain down upon me and my family! Life is Good!
