Grate-ful-ness

"Gratefulness is the key to a happy life
that we hold in our hands,
because if we are not grateful,
then no matter how much we have we will not be happy--
because we will always want to
have something else or something more."
~David Steindl-Rast

I am a Mother

I am a mother This is what I was born to do.
For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a Mom.
It isn't always easy (or fun--remember potty training?) But I love doing it.
It isn't glamorous. But it is fabulous and fulfilling.
I know that Motherhood is an eternal partnership with my Heavenly Father.
I feel very blessed that he entrusted
Waylon and I with three of his most special children.
These three great kids are my treasure.
They are amazing and precious.
Who am I?
I am a Mother.

Father/Daughter Ball

Waylon took Olivia to the Father/Daughter Ball tonight.
Aren't they adorable?
Olivia got a new dress. And although she had dreamed about a gold shiny one, she picked this one. {There was one gold shiny one but it was a size 14--she desperately wanted that one, but I had to do a lot of talking to convince her that one was too big}
She has been counting down the days {and hours and minutes}
She was just SO excited!!
Pretty sweet. Those two!

Park Day

I love that it is getting nicer outside and
that some days are warm enough to play outside. A couple weekends ago, we headed to the park for some fun!
My pictures aren't great, but these days it is good if my camera even works.
It didn't work for too long here...but we still had a great time!
Here's to park weather! Something us Duncans LOVE!

S-l-o-w d-o-w-n

"We would do well to slow down a little, proceed at the optimum speed for our circumstances, focus on the signifigant,
lift up our eyes, and truly see the things that matter most.
Let us be mindful of the foundational precepts our Heavenly Father has given to his children that will establish the basis of a rich and fruitful mortal life with promises of eternal happiness. They will teach us to do all these things......in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that we should run faster than we have strength. But it is expedient that we should be diligent, and thereby..... win the prize."
~Dieter F. Uchtdorf
I so needed to read this today:)
